New York, New York, April 27, 2022 — Zelin & Associates CPA LLC in New York City has announced its merger with Block & Block CPAs.  According to Steven B. Zelin, CPA, Managing Member of Zelin & Associates LLC CPA, “This merger brings expanded tax services to the firm.  I have worked with Michael Block CPA, who has 54 years of public accounting experience, for many years and feel he and his outstanding staff will make an excellent addition to our tax team.”

Zelin & Associates CPA LLC, located at 555 Eighth Avenue with 20 professional staff,  has expanded service capabilities in auditing and tax services to privately owned businesses, not-for-profit organizations, trusts and individuals. The name of the merged firm will remain Zelin & Associates CPA LLC.

Founded in 2008, the firm has earned an outstanding reputation in the business community. The firm is on the New York State Comptroller’s recommended list of Accounting Firms and has earned the highest marks in peer review.  In discussing the success of Zelin & Associates CPA LLC, Mr. Zelin says, “Our specialty is in working closely with our clients to truly understand the nature of their businesses and organizations and helping to customize a service plan based on their needs.”

Michael Block, CPA has been a licensed CPA since 1973 and has served on the Relations with IRS Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.  A Manhattan resident his entire life, he is married and has two children and six grandchildren.

Zelin, also known as The Singing CPAⓇ, writes and performs songs for taxpayers and non-taxpayers of all ages. His songs have been played on satellite radio (XM Radio, SIRIUS) as well as regular radio (WFUV, WNYC, WOR). Zelin has been a registered representative since 2010 and currently holds his securities licenses with Equitable, an investment services firm, to expand his business mix with the ability to advise clients on their overall investment and retirement planning needs.

Born and raised in New York City, Zelin has been a licensed CPA since 2000. He has an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Fordham University and a B.S. in Accountancy from Alfred University. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Long Island University. He is a member of the NYSSCPA and is an active member of its Not-for-Profit and Taxation of Individuals Committees.  He is also the chair of the NYSSCPA Careers Committee presenting lectures to students interested in becoming a CPA.
